Who: Board & Advisors

Charles Elliott (C.E.) Andrews is the global managing partner for assurance and business advisory services and the managing partner of the Mid-Atlantic Market Circle at Arthur Andersen. He has also served as a board member on the firm's board of partners. Andrews began his career with Andersen in 1974 and was admitted to the partnership in 1984. He serves as advisory partner for many of the offices' clients including Sallie Mae, Marriott, Charles E. Smith and Freddie Mac. His client responsibilities have included major financial institutions and real estate companies in the Baltimore/Washington region. His varied experiences include mergers and acquisitions consultation, financial institution regulatory and restructuring issues, and problem loan workouts.

Andrew's community and civic involvement includes having served as the chairman of the board of the National Capital Chapter of the American Red Cross and as a past chair of Leadership Washington. He is a member of the board of directors and first vice president of the Boys' Home, Inc., and is a member of the Museum board of overseers for the Corcoran Gallery of Art and has served in that capacity since 1992. He serves as the chairman of the Corporate Sponsorship Committee for the Washington Performing Arts Society, and is a member of the board of directors. Andrews is on the advisory board of the R.B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech and the advisory board of the accounting department. He is a member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Washington/Baltimore Regional 2012 Olympics Coalition, the Federal City Council, Mayor Anthony Williams' Business Roundtable Committee, and served as co-chair for the 2001 Leukemia Ball. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Tech and resides in Vienna, VA with his wife Jean and their three children, Mary Beth, Chas, and Alex.
